A Little Family Background

My family has a long history in this country. My sixth great grandfather was a Patriot of the Revolutionary War & my mama belongs to the Daughters of the American Revolution. One of my great, great grandfathers fought in the war between the states. My great grandfather on my mama's side fought in the Spanish-American War. One of my great uncles was in WW I & 3 others were in WW II. My uncle served in the Marines during Vietnam & suffers from the effects of Agent Orange. My nephew is a disabled Navy vet who was deployed to Libya. My son (in-law), a Marine Captain (P) has been deployed to Afghanistan twice for nearly a year both times. The last time he was deployed, my first granddaughter was a newborn & he missed most of the first year of her life to serve our country. Currently, our family is on baby watch for the birth of my second granddaughter. Their family is the only one of my immediate family who live outside of Windcrest.
